The Bend Carrera Cup Preview

We are into the back half of the Porsche Carrera Cup season! This weekend we head to The Bend Motorsport Park. This is a Round I’ve been looking forward to for a while as it’s one of my favourite circuits and one I’ve had a lot of success at in the past.

The Bend is a fast, flowing and high commitment track. It suits the driving characteristics of the Porsches perfectly and will make for some great racing in what I’m sure will be another very competitive 32 car grid.

For us, practice on Friday will be very important to fine tune the setup the car and get into the groove before heading into Qualifying on Saturday morning. The Bend is one of the longest circuits on the calendar, hence there is no need for the split Qualifying format. All Pro and Pro-Am drivers will head out on track for the 20 minute session.

Last year at this venue I claimed my first ever podium finish in Carrera Cup and backed it up with two more to finish P2 for the Round. This year, I’m looking to build on that experience, emulate that success and deliver our best possible performance.

There are 3 races ahead of us this weekend, with a longer 45 minute Enduro on Sunday morning. I cannot wait to get in the car!!

As always, Qualifying and the Races will be televised and streamed LIVE on Fox Sports 506 and Kayo. Check out the schedule below. If you’re spectating at the track I’d love to see you, so come say hi and check out the Hastings Deering Porsche GT3! .

Cheers!!
Harri
