Townsville Preview

Round 3 of the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup was threatened due to recent lockdowns in the city. However, it’s on, and this weekend we will go to battle on the streets of Townsville!!

It’s been a while since Round 2 at The Bend but recent testing at Queensland Raceway has enabled us to ‘get our eye in’ and build confidence in the lead up to Round 3.

Round Two was a great recovery weekend for our championship and we currently sit 2nd outright and 1st in the junior points. We raced on the streets of Townsville 12 months ago as part of the ‘Tin Tops’ category. I’ll be one of the only drivers on the grid with this recent experience on track and I am looking to maximise that advantage. With only 40 minutes of track time before Qualifying, every small advantage helps!

It’s easy to say that my goal is to win this weekend, but I see winning as an outcome of a great process. So instead, I’ll say my goal is to follow my process, maximise my performance and minimise errors.
