Todd Kelly’s 2007 HRT VE Commodore

This weekend Phillip Island will play host to Australia’s largest historic motorsport event. I’m excited to once again be a part of it, and even more so to be behind the wheel of the #22 2007 HRT VE Commodore. Initially built for Todd Kelly, the car was the first ever VE Commodore to win a Supercars race. It also placed 2nd at the 2009 Bathurst 1000 in the hands of Jason Richards.

We did shakedown of the car at Queensland Raceway last month. It was the first time the car had been on track in over 10 years and it didn’t miss a beat. I’m looking forward to driving it with a bit of anger this weekend as part of the Over 5lt and Invited category.

If you are around the track this weekend, make sure to come say hi and take a look around the car!
