HARRI JONES JOINS PORSCHE CENTRE MELBOURNE MOTORSPORT FOR 2024 SEASON
Harri Jones confirms his fulltime return on home soil with Melbourne based team.
Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport will enter the 2024 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia season with a pair of champions on its roster, confirming that former champion Harri Jones will join the team this year.
Jones, the 2022 Champion, will join 2005 champion Fabian Coulthard in a talented two-car attack from the Melbourne team this season.
Battle hardened from a season contesting both the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany last year, Jones’ committed to a return to Australian competition this season as he seeks to build both his driving career, and that of his own race team, Jones Motorsport.
He returned to the championship for two rounds last year, scoring pole position and finishing second at Mount Panorama last October.
Jones’ addition to the PCM squad, which operates from a brand-new workshop facility located in Collingwood, means the team enters the 2024 season with the most experienced driver roster among the paddock.
The team was bolstered by the signing of new Team Principal Matt Cook late last year, while Coulthard joined the team in Round 2 of the championship last season.
The opening round of the 2024 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship will be held at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 20-24.
